Fluffy’s New Years Resolutions

Happy New Year! As we leave 2017 behind and move into 2018, many of us are revisiting our personal priorities, and setting new goals for the coming year. Our feline friends may have a few resolutions of their own! Here, an East Dallas, TX vet list some of Fluffy’s New Year’s resolutions.

Achieve The Purrfect Ambush

Does your kitty sometimes like to hide behind things, and then run out at you as you are walking past? Perhaps your pet has been giving herself away by letting her ears or tail peek out of her hiding place. Or maybe she just isn’t timing her pounces quite right. This year may be the year your frisky feline completely surprises you!

Catch That Red Dot

Fluffy has been trying to catch that elusive red dot for years. Maybe in 2018, she’ll finally succeed!

Improve Pouncing Skills

If Fluffy hasn’t managed the perfect pounce yet, she may want to work on this in 2018!

Beat Napping Records

Did you know that senior cats can nap up to 20 hours a day? It will take years of hard training for Fluffy to reach that goal, however. Your furball will definitely be focusing on getting some quality naptime in this year!

Finish Training The Humans

Do you immediately fill your pet’s bowl when she meows for supper? Do you find yourself sleeping or sitting uncomfortably so as not to disturb Her Furry Majesty? If Fluffy doesn’t have you completely wrapped around her paws yet, she has her work cut out for her!

Improve Fur Distribution Skills

Fluffy is pretty good at leaving fur on your clothes and upholstery. Perhaps this year your kitty will try to spread things out more evenly. For instance, maybe she’ll leave more fur on the couch, and less on your favorite armchair. (Tip: use a squeegee, damp sponge, or rubber dish glove to remove cat fur from your clothing and furniture.)

Spend More Time Cuddling

At the end of the day, cats are basically floofy, adorable little furballs that love to be pampered. If your kitty is a snuggler, she may want to score even more cuddles and attention this year than she got in 2017!
