7 Adorable Things Your Cat Will Do This Year

Happy New Year! Today, many people are wondering what 2019 will bring. We may not know what will make the news in the next 12 months, but we do have a pretty good idea of what some of our feline patients will be doing: being super cute! A local White Rock, TX vet discusses Fluffy’s 2019 agenda below.

Help With Changing Sheets

Some things just aren’t very easy to accomplish around cats. Changing sheets is one of those things. Even senior kitties often can’t resist playing with the ‘blanket monster!’

Climb Into Boxes

Some things are just irresistible to cats. Boxes are definitely at the top of that list!

Sleep In Your Laundry

Cats live by their own rules. One of these kitty laws apparently dictates that our feline pals should immediately take advantage of fresh laundry, and curl up for a nap in it.

Demand Attention

Kitties can be very cuddly little furballs. If Fluffy wants attention, she may rub against you, paw your hair or sleeve, or just jump into your lap. (Of course, she’ll probably do this while you are in the middle of something, but that’s another topic.)

Refuse Attention

At the other end of the spectrum, there are also cats who are very purrticular about when and how they get petted. Don’t be surprised if your kitty turns that cute little nose up and walks away when you want to snuggle!

Hide

Cats are more or less hardwired to want to investigate small spaces. You may very well find Fluffy sound asleep in an unexpected place, such as in a closet or drawer.

Play With Something That Isn’t A Toy

Cats are ferocious hunters by nature, and they love to pounce and jump on things. It’s important to get your furball lots of fun toys to play with. However, we suspect that at some point this year your kitty will ignore her toys, and play with a bottlecap or a crumpled-up piece of paper instead.

Make You Laugh

Fluffy is cute, cuddly, lovable, and clean, among other things. She’s also absolutely hilarious! It’s probably safe to say that at some point this year, your furry buddy will put a smile on your face with her cute antics and charming quirks.
