Life Lessons From Fido

Happy New Year! As we move forward into 2020, many people are thinking hard about what they want the next 12 months to bring for them. Today is a great time to sort of reset and rethink your goals and priorities. As it turns out, your canine companion may be a perfect source of inspiration. Read on as a local East Dallas, TX vet lists some life lessons from Man’s Best Friend.

Live For The Moment

Dogs don’t worry too much about tomorrow, and they certainly don’t care about bills. While keeping up with responsibilities is important, it’s also important to do things you enjoy, and to remember to live for the moment. Or, as Fido would say, Barke Diem!

Never Give Up

Man’s Best Friend is remarkably persistent. Fido applies this determination in many situations, from trying to alert someone to an accident to performing every trick he knows in the hopes of getting you to share your cheeseburger. Always go for what you want.

Be Loyal

Our canine pals have many wonderful traits, but their loyalty is definitely one of the best. Fido offers unconditional love and support, which are both precious. Your pup will stick faithfully by your side, no matter what. Be loyal to those who have been good to you!

Have Fun

There are few things happier than a pooch hard at play. Fido is super cute when he’s bounding after his favorite toy or just being goofy. Take time to just have fun this year!

Eat Well

We probably don’t have to tell you that dogs are very, very enthusiastic about food. While you don’t want to go overboard here, it is important to eat good, nourishing things. (Another tip from Fido: treat yourself to something special sometimes.)

Show Your Love

Our furry friends are extremely affectionate. They often jump with joy when their owners walk in. Fido is also quite cuddly, and loves just hanging out with his favorite humans. Show your loved ones that you care.

Explore

One thing we know for sure about dogs: they love checking out new places. Indulge your pup’s love of adventure! Grab Fido and take a fun day trip to a new park, or visit a new hiking trail.
